ET Reo Reflection

ET Reo is a thing we do in the afternoon on Mondays at the moment we learn about lunch box te reo which is all the things in our lunch box translated into maori.

The task was to create A video showing that we liked or disliked some food, I was successful because the video had all the things we needed.

Feedback: I really like how you have pretended you where the which and also how you have pronounced the words.

Feedforward:Next time you could add more detail to your description and big idea

Evaluation: I think we could have made it a little longer but at least we did all of the things that were required.

Maths Portfolio Sample

For math we had to solve the questions on the sheet below. But for stage 6 we had to show two ways to make the question work.

Evaluation: I think I did well on my maths it took me a while to get the hang of itbut in the end I got there I am most proud of my persistence.

Writing Portfolio Sample

For writing we watched a video about a mouse that gets rejected and the finds an owner and our task was to write something similar, vaguely similar or the same. My story is about a cat. whatever my cat dreams it comes true. My goal is to write complex sentences. We had to put highlight the complex sentences red so they would stand out.

Big Idea: Here is fantastico story.

Feedback/Feedforward: I really like your story but I agree with you. You did go through lots of events pretty fast but it was really nice to read well done.- Mitchell

Evaluation: I think my story was very good but I skipped through lots of events so I need to babble on a bit more.

Reading Portfolio Sample

My Goal in Reading is Comprehension. In Reading we have been going to workshops based on our goal. We did a star test at the start of last term and from that we chose our goal either reading Comprehsion or expanding vocabulary. Comprehension or Expanding Vocabulary. We have 2 Workshops a week for half a hour. We also have one Gym session which goes for one hour. There are two hours a day and 3 days for a week. When we don't have a workshop or Gym we do a tic tac toe activity.

Success Criteria:
- Text to Text When you make a Text to Text connection you relate two bits of text together
- Text to Self  is where you make a connection that is in the story and in the story
- Text to World When you make a Text to World connection you relate something in the text to something that's happened in the world

Evaluation: I think I did quite well choosing my words carefully and my drawing totally RAD!!

Feedback: I really like how you added lot of information to everything. -Mitchell

Feedforward: Next time you could work on making the picture more easy to read.-Mitchell

Science Portfolio Sample

Every Thursday we have science when we started we had three tasters Suzanne, ebony and Troy. The digestive system Animal Adaptations and Food Chains. After the tasters we chose our first and second choice of what we would stick with for the rest of the term I chose troy and the food chains for my first and the digestive system with Suzanne for my second I got my first choice!


A couple of weeks ago we made a poster to display how the food in our lunch box was made I did an extra thing in my lunch... THE SPOON I think spoons are very important, we found out that no matter what everything came back to the sun.

Evaluation: I think my lines are pretty clear and my pictures well I am especially fond of the cows I drew the yogurt I think it is well placed but I think I can do better with lines and making them more tidy.

Feedback: I really like how you added lots of detail to your description.

Feedforward: Next time you could make your pictures bigger and your words bigger on your poster.
